Samuel White
Mid-Atlantic Agricultural Resilience Associate
Sam's work focuses on soil health and regenerative agriculture. Specifically, he assists farmers in their understanding of soil health and helping them find the tools to succeed in order to help their operation be more viable. He and his wife have a cow/calf operation on her family farm in Allegany County, Maryland. Long as a leader in Western Maryland's soil health journey, the farm has continued down that route under Sam's guidance focusing on regenerative agriculture and how it applies to beef operations. Sam has focused on soil health to achieve a resilient, low input cow/calf operation. He's ready to assist all types of operators in the Mid-Atlantic region to do the same. Before joining AFT, he worked for 30 years in corporate IT and has a degree in History from Frostburg State University. When he has free time, he enjoys spending time with his family, bicycling, canoeing, and playing a couple instruments.
