Sanaz Arjomand
National Policy Director
Sanaz rejoined AFT in 2026 as the National Policy Director. She brings over a decade of leadership in agricultural conservation advocacy and communications, having served as Chief of Staff to the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service’s largest headquarters unit, as speechwriter and communications specialist for the agency’s Chief, and the Federal Policy Director at the National Young Farmers Coalition. Her prior roles at AFT include Federal Policy Manager and New York Policy Intern. Sanaz holds a Master of Science in Environmental Policy from the Bard College Center for Environmental Policy and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the College of Charleston.
