Stephanie joined AFT in August 2018 as the Program Manager for the initiative Farm to Institution New York State (FINYS). She is a graduate of Cornell University in History of Art and Asian American Studies, the Culinary Institute of America in professional culinary and kitchen management, and has a Graduate Certification in Nonprofit Management from the University of Washington. Her institutional food service experience ranges from hospitals to farm-to-table resorts, and she served as a Chef and Kitchen Manager for the Early Learning Program at Encompass in Washington where she created its first Farm to ECE program. In 2012, Stephanie worked at Solid Ground, a nonprofit working to end poverty and undo racism through a people-centered approach, managing Washington State’s Share our Strength’s Cooking Matters and Apple Corps programs to deliver community-specific SNAP-Ed cooking lessons to families and K-12 students within Seattle schools. Stephanie is committed to improving community food systems in New York and ensuring equitable access to healthy, delicious, and culturally relevant food for all. Stephanie raises chickens and children in the Hudson Valley.
