Biography

Torey joined American Farmland Trust in October 2022 as the Midwest Conservation Agronomist. His responsibilities include providing conservation and technical assistance to farmers and landowners with the aim of increasing participation in programs and projects that improve farm productivity, profitability, and sustainability. He focuses on conservation cropping systems, soil health, and regenerative agriculture. Prior to joining AFT, he spent 13 years as an agronomic consultant with Advanced Crop Care, Inc where he provided crop consulting and soil sampling services throughout northern and central Illinois. He has been a Certified Crop Advisor with the American Society of Agronomy since 2011 and holds a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture degree with emphasis in agronomy from Western Illinois University. Outside of his career, he enjoys spending time with his family and friends in the great outdoors engaging in activities such as hunting, fishing, camping and hiking.
