Whitney Shuttleworth
A/R Accountant
Whitney comes to AFT with a background that blends farming and nonprofit finance. She began her career as an organic vegetable farmer, farming for 15 years before moving into public service at the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation, and later the State of Ohio as well as her local Soil and Water Conservation District. She eventually transitioned into the nonprofit sector as a grant administrator with the National Environmental Education Foundation. Whitney holds a Bachelor of Philosophy in Environmental Studies, with a focus in Sustainable Agriculture, from Miami University, and a Master of Public Administration from Kent State University. She still farms part-time, and enjoys homesteading, canning, selling flower bouquets at her farm stand, and slowly turning her yard into a native food forest.
