How a New Partnership Will Help America’s Dairy Farmers Thrive

The mission of American Farmland Trust is big: to save the land that sustains us by protecting farmland, promoting sound farming practices, and keeping farmers on the land. To achieve these goals, AFT needs strong partners—companies, organizations, and committed individuals willing to embrace the challenges that stand in the way of a sustainable future for farmers, ranchers, and all of us who depend on working lands for survival.

This is why we’re were so excited to recently announce a new partnership project with Chobani to support America’s dairy farmers. Watch the video below to learn more.

The pressure dairy farmers are facing is immense and many family farms are increasingly struggling just to keep the lights on. It’s core to our mission that we work to keep these farmers on the land. The proceeds from Chobani’s Farm Batch will allow AFT to provide resources and microgrants of up to $10,000 to help dairy farmers protect their land, make land transfer plans, strengthen their farm business, and develop climate strategies. You can sign up to receive the latest updates as grant deadlines, new resources, and opportunities are released at www.farmland.org/farmerbatch.

We hope the partnership with Chobani can be a shining example of how for-profit entities and AFT can work together to help address these difficult issues. AFT is incredibly grateful to have a partner like Chobani that sees a problem and partners with us to work towards a solution.

When there is an opportunity to build partnerships with businesses, like Chobani, AFT is ready and willing to collaborate. AFT will work with partners to build programs that provide resources, increase awareness, and work towards solutions that protect the land, support the people, and improve the practices of farmers.
