Farmers across the U.S. are navigating a changing climate that is bringing more frequent droughts, heavier precipitation, shifting seasons, and new pest and disease pressures. Supporting Farmers Through Climate Adaptation Planning
AFT staff work directly with farmers to identify their most pressing climate-related risks and develop site‑specific strategies to address them. Through one‑on‑one consultations, we help producers assess vulnerabilities, explore adaptation options, and create practical climate adaptation plans tailored to their land, soils, and business goals.
This work builds on AFT’s long-standing commitment to collaboration, listening, and integrating farmers’ knowledge. By centering farmer experience and elevating farmer‑led innovation, we help ensure that adaptation strategies are both effective and grounded in real-world conditions.
