Ryan joined American Farmland Trust in September of 2022. He has been a fruit and vegetable farmer for the last 16 years. He graduated from UMass Amherst with a BS in science for sustainable agriculture and he’s worked for a handful of farms in Western Massachusetts and started his own farm, Many Hands Farm Corps in 2011. He’s been passionate about teaching sustainable farming practices to young farmers and making local organic produce more accessible to all. He’s looking forward to helping other farms implement conservation on their farms as he steps back from his own farm
