Emily works closely with AFT’s policy director to deploy AFT’s policy direction and strategies. Before joining AFT, Emily served as a fellow for the Natural and Working Lands Initiative of the U.S. Climate Alliance. Previously, she worked with the Soil Health Institute, Rural Vermont, the Vermont Agency of Agriculture, and spent four years working on farms where she both worked in the fields and did farm-based education. Emily earned her Master of Science in the Agriculture, Food, and Environment program at the Friedman School at Tufts University, with a concentration in natural resource management and a certificate in water systems, and earned her undergraduate degree from Mount Holyoke College.
