Kevin joined AFT in August 2023 as the New England Soil Health Specialist. Prior to working at AFT, Kevin developed healthy soils programming for the Maryland Department of Agriculture focused on equity and accessibility, led planting and stewardship programming at the Baltimore Orchard Project, and was a community organizer as part of the Sierra Club’s Beyond Coal Campaign. Kevin also served on Maryland’s GHG Mitigation Workgroup and collaborated with other states as a part of the US Climate Alliance. He has a MA in Geography and BS in Environmental Science and Studies with qualitative research experience focused on the intersections of renewable energy development and ideas about nature/wilderness through the lens of political ecology.
