Robert joined AFT in October of 2023 as part of the Water Initiative’s economic team, working primarily on soil health economic calculators. Robert grew up in North Carolina on his family’s row crop and livestock operation. He is currently finishing his doctorate in Agricultural Economics at the University of Kentucky. His research has focused on farm machinery and tile drainage systems, as well as the integration of farm practices and providing decision tools for producers. He has an M.S. in Agricultural Economics from the University of Kentucky and a B.S. in Agricultural Business and Economics from Auburn University. Additionally, Robert was a National Science Foundation Fellow and completed certificates in Applied Statistics and Innovations at the Nexus of Food, Energy, and Water Systems (INFEWS). Robert lives in Kentucky with his dog Kiowa.
