Elizabeth is the Outreach and Technical Assistance Coordinator for the Pacific Northwest Region. She is also a worker-owner at Long Hearing Farm, a multiracial rural worker’s co-op and certified organic farm with a commitment to growing food as if the lives of kids in our communities matter. Elizabeth is an Indigenous mixed person with Amskapi Pikani, Eastern Band Cherokee, Aaani, and European American ancestry. Long Hearing Farm allows her to combine her passions for sustainable agriculture and indigenous food practices! Elizabeth has been actively farming for almost 10 years, but she also brings many years of organizing experience to this role. She is committed to peer-to-peer farmer support and advocacy, racial justice, and food sovereignty. Elizabeth holds a Bachelor of Arts from Whitman College and a Master of Arts in Law, Development and Globalization where she focused on the intersection of international human rights law and food sovereignty in the Pacific Northwest. Elizabeth has played an active role in the Pacific Northwest food system including working with the Washington Young Farmers Coalition, Food Policy Forum Meeting, and informal regional networks of Black, Indigenous and Farmers of Color.
