Biography

As the NJ Technical Specialist, Christina Couch is empowering and educating farmers, ag landowners, and ag service providers who are interested in agrivoltaics. Through the Department of Energy Foundational Agrivoltaic Research for Megawatt Scale (FARMS) Program, Christina works in partnership with Rutgers University to establish AFT’s Smart Solar curricula and farming training platforms across New Jersey. Christina is also the Founder and Aggregator behind Pura Farms, a diversified vegetable and herb operation that is breaking down supply chain barriers in farmer access to restaurants and institutional markets. Prior to farming, Christina supported on Product, Strategy, and Innovation Development in the plant nutrition sector. Christina holds a Bachelor of Science in Agribusiness from The Pennsylvania State University with minors in both Economics and International Agriculture. She is also the first student to access farmland from the RU Beginner Farmer Business Incubator.
