Annalise Lallana
Midwest Urban Ag & Small Farm Outreach SpecialistBiography
Annalise joined the Midwest team in 2024 to connect conservation resources to farms and farmers in the metropolitan center of Kansas City, where she was born and raised. Prior to joining AFT, she attended Saint Louis University and received a B.S. in Nutrition and Dietetics with an emphasis in Food Innovation and Entrepreneurship. After some years working in the restaurant industry and traveling abroad, her love of food, agriculture, and urban ecology led her to Chatham University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania where she received both a M.A. in Food Studies and M.B.A. Upon returning to Kansas City in 2020, she quickly became intertwined with the local food landscape, working with small farmers, non-profit organizations, and K-12 school districts through her time as the director of Kansas City’s local food hub. Outside the office, Annalise is the captain of her roller derby team (The Deadly Sirens), cultivates her urban farm, forages for mushrooms, rock climbs, hikes, camps, or can be found knitting on the couch snuggled with her cat Rufus.
