Brett began working at MFT in the fall of 2015. Growing up in upstate NY, he was surrounded by farm and forest land and was always intrigued by working landscapes. Brett worked on several farms when he was younger and became interested in the protection of farmland from non-farm development after witnessing the division and sprawling development of nearby agricultural land. Prior to working at MFT, Brett assisted with similar land protection efforts at the Columbia Land Conservancy in Chatham, NY.
