Biography

Michelle Cable was appointed the Executive Director of the Maryland Agricultural Land Preservation Foundation in 2018. She joined the MALPF Program as an Administrator in 2011, where she managed easement applications, stewardship and compliance matters, general inquiries, and requests from landowners. Before joining MALPF, she was the Director of Protection for the Georgia Chapter of The Nature Conservancy, leading their team in real estate transactions for five years. Prior to that, she worked for the MD Rural Legacy Program at Department of Natural Resources (another state-funded easement acquisition program) for six years. She received a Masters of Environmental Management from Duke University in 2000, and a Bachelor’s of Arts Degree from Wake Forest University in 1996. Michelle is a life-long equestrian and currently owns two horses.
