Biography

Shradha (she/her) leads the development of an advanced analytics tool designed to quantify greenhouse gas emissions reductions by preventing the conversion of farmland to residential development. Previously, she managed and continually developed the Protected Agricultural Lands Database (PALD). She also supports AFT’s national research initiatives on future scenario analysis and conducts spatial analysis and mapping across the organization.

Before joining AFT, Shradha worked as a graduate researcher on an NSF-funded project centered on sustainable food waste management, studying the nexus between food, energy, and water systems. She developed hydro-ecological and land suitability models to minimize food waste disposal impacts to local streams. She holds a Master of Science in Environmental Science from the Rochester Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Management from Pokhara University, Nepal.
